What is New at Little Red barn Produce? Quite a lot actually!
We should have an abundance of Oyster Mushrooms and Shiitake Mushrooms in about two weeks.
We have been rebuilding our old greenhouse, mainly replacing the old PVC with steel framing and all the materials you should use to build greenhouse, instead of what we were using. Our old one worked, but needed a lot of maintenance every year. The hope is that by having an efficiently built greenhouse, we will save time in the future by not having to constantly patch it back together.
I will post a picture as soon as it is done! Hopefully very soon!
I made a batch of Kimchi and it has been tested and approved. I may add it this summer.
We added some new baby chicks,(laying hens) this year as well. These are Buff Orpingtons we enjoy them a lot. They are good layers and fairly docile. They aren’t flighty like some breeds.
There is an abundance of Seedlings waiting to be planted in the tunnels very soon as well!
I realized I had been forgetting to add the contact form to my posts, I have no idea how anyone found us last year! Quite a humbling experience. :-/
Here is where you can read about our CSA program. Thanks for reading! We hope to hear from you soon!
