I wanted to give you an update on what we are doing here at the farm. Things have slowed down a bit now that the weather has changed. We are still busy though, Planning for Spring planting.
Before that happens though I am excited to tell you we have been invited to be a part of the Fun with Fermentation Festival , put on by the Willamette valley Sustainable foods alliance. You can learn More about them Here .
Some of you only know us from the Produce we bring you during the growing season, you may not be aware that we also preserve some of the Produce that we grow. One of the ways we do this is by fermentation. It is so much more than just Sauerkraut, Even though this is one of my favorite things to make. It is really endless if it is Organic someone has probably fermented it.
So, when is the festival? It is Saturday, January 9th from 11 am to 4 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Church on 13th Ave in Eugene. If you follow this Link and click on Events and click on Fun with Fermentation there is a map and more information on the event there.
Keep us in mind in the Spring and Early Summer when you are thinking about CSA Boxes. You can learn more about our program Here
We also sell our products on Lane Local foods.
Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope to see some of you at the festival. I am excited about promoting locally grown food, by local people. This is something that I support. Have a wonderful week!
